How to Edit a Button
Making and saving changes to any button

First, open the Peerbots app and enter Controller mode.
Peerbots has a series of configurable button control templates.
Then, select the Template that with the button you want to edit.

To go into button editing mode, click on the Show Button Panel button on the top left side to open up the Button Editing Panel on the right.

Now, click on the desired Button in the middle main button panel to select that button.
The Button Editing Panel on the right will show all the properties of the button you have selected.
You can change any property of a button by making changes to the button in the Button Editing Panel - all changes are autosaved when selecting another button, or by hitting the Save button at the bottom of the Button Editing Panel.
The list of button properties (with their descriptions) are as follows:
Property | Description |
---|---|
Title | This text is shown as the label in the main button panel. |
Speech | This is what the connected Face device or Misty Robot will say with Text-To-Speech when the button is pressed. |
Voice | This is what voice is used to generate a Text-To-Speech preview on the Face Controller mode. |
Volume | This is how loud the generated Text-Speech Audio will be. |
Rate | This is how fast the generated Text-Speech Audio will be. |
Pitch | This controls the pitch of the generated Text-Speech Audio. |
Gaze X | For Misty II, this controls the horizontal X (left/right) angle of the robot's head. |
Gaze Y | For Misty II, this controls the vertical Y (up/down) angle of the robot's head. |
Button Color | This sets the color of the label in the main button panel. |
Button Emotion | This controls the connected Face device or Misty Robot's face emotion graphic when the button is pressed. |
Goal | This labels this button's Goal type (for classification of Peerbots button control usage data.) |
Subgoal | This labels this button's Subgoal type (for classification of Peerbots button control usage data.) |
Proficiency | This labels this button's Proficiency type (for classification of Peerbots button control usage data.) |
